I realised my blog is missing the titles.
The title i put for this entry is my principles. Recently, i realise something of myself. I do not know if this is stubborn or what. To make it sound better, i shall deem it as my Principles. 我的原则。
I hold true to my Principles. Regarding work, my working hours is from 9am to 6.30pm. Any calls or messages from trainees outside my working hours, i ignore them. They have been issued our company's name card and the working hours are stated there. It is also sated very clearly that my handphone is only for emergency use. Early this year, 1 trainee called me at 11pm but i ignore her call. Later when i went to listen to my voice message, she was asking for her payment details!! What the heck right? That was not urgent. I have received lots of calls and messages from trainees asking about salary when i am off work. They think i work 24 hours and i take their salary details everywhere i go. ..Stupid..
These trainees just do not have basic manners or courtesy to think if i am already sleeping at wee hours. I think they would also feel irritated if their customers call their hp number at wee hours to ask like.. how much does the beer cost? Or do your company sell beer? Really what the heck!
If they message me outside my working hours, i would reply them when i start work at 9am. That is my Principle. Am i right or wrong? I also need time for my family, for myself and etc.. I do not work 24 hours a day. Attending to them outside my working hours literally spoils my day cuz they are disturbing me from my rest and my personal time even if just a minute.
When i went to Hong Kong, i can have trainee asking me for the office opening hours. I ignore it. She already had the namecard which the office hours are written in it. They do not read it!
Even during my lunch break, i ignore their calls on my hp as the namecard also indicates our lunch time. I call back them when my lunch time is over. Haha =p
If i have arrivals after work or i need to report them before 9am, i record down the number of minutes i worked overtime, even if it is 30 minutes or even 15 minutes. They can add up to an hour when i work OT the next timesss. Calculative? I really need it cuz i can offset my hours during work. They do make a difference to me if i offset 30minutes. By ending work 30 minutes earlier, i can reach home at 7pm and catch the drama. Haha~ More importantly, i can have more time to do my things and sleep 30 minutes earlier! :p Or by using that 30 minutes to rush to the dentist which already closes by the time i reach there when i end work normally. Today, i am going to offset 2 hours.. 45 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes of OT i worked last time. I have the right to offset them ba. 2 hours are alot.
Recently been noticing if trainees are late for their appointments with me even though it is not important. Haha.. I am a nobody in the office but i mind their punctuality. Sometimes, feel like calling them to question or to 'scold' them if they do not turn up for their appointment with me. I am training the youths!! Bleahx
